Changing Platforms ~ A Passion Project

In September 2021, the Changing Platforms podcast started as a passion project by myself, Alka Bromiley, and my niece, Krisha Kay Gandhi.

• We are two South Asian women.
• I live in Annapolis, Maryland, USA.
• At the time, Krisha was moving from Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia, to London, UK.
• I was 50, and Krisha was going to be 30.
• Krisha had just come out as gay / lesbian and identified as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
• I had experienced many life-changing challenges, abusive relationships, and a divorce.
• With our diverse backgrounds, we thought a podcast would be the perfect forum to inspire change.
• We initially reached out to people we knew and to people who inspired us, to be guests on the podcast.
• The first season was so successful that it encouraged us to continue and create seasons 2, 3, and 4.

After the completion of season 4, Krisha left Changing Platforms to follow her dreams, and I started working on making Changing Platforms more successful.

One of the reasons for our podcast success is our inclusivity. We welcome guests regardless of color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, or gender from all over the world.
